Aberdeen, Scotland, is home to an iconic venue that has been providing entertainment and access to the arts for generations of the city’s citizens. The Aberdeen Music Hall has hosted concerts and shows since its conversion for the purpose in 1859. The building itself sprung up in 1822 and served as the city’s Assembly Rooms for over thirty-five years before its transformation. While the building has been renovated on a few occasions, it still maintains its historic feel and stands in stark contrast to today’s modern arenas. The Aberdeen Music Hall regularly features orchestral concerts. The Royal Scottish Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra all make frequent appearances within the venerable structure.
